Essential Squarespace SEO Settings

Site-Wide SEO Title Format

Settings → SEO → Set SEO Title Format for homepage and other pages

Page-Level SEO

Edit page → Settings (gear icon) → SEO tab → Edit title, description, and URL slug

Click image → Edit → Add filename (before upload) and alt text in the editor

Setting Up Redirects

Squarespace allows you to create 301 redirects for changed or deleted pages.

  1. Go to Settings → Advanced → URL Mappings
  2. Add redirect in format: /old-url -> /new-url 301
  3. Save and test the redirect
